From New Rochelle
Daycare if you live in New Rochelle
New Rochelle sits just north of the city line. Some Westchester parents want a New York City group family home with a full weekday — licensed, small, 7 to 6 — rather than a large Westchester center. The programs on this page are licensed in the Bronx.
The Hutchinson River Parkway and I-95 are the usual run into Pelham and then Country Club. In light traffic it is a short hop. At 7:50 a.m. it is not. Drive it once at the hour you would drop off, once at the hour you would pick up.
Two Country Club GFDCs on Ohm Avenue list 7:00 AM–6:00 PM, Monday–Friday: My Piccolo Mondo Child Care at 1466 Ohm Ave and Maria’s Piccolo Mondo Child Care at 1601 Ohm Ave. Facility numbers 236999 and 821324. Search those in OCFS. Do not take a website’s word for a live license.
Ask how they handle a New Rochelle parent stuck on the Hutch. Written late-fee rules and a backup pickup person in the Bronx matter more than a friendly tour.
